All our templates are CNC milled from CFC core Melamine Sheets. These templates are designed to be inserted into "The Master Door Jig" giving you full adjustment and attachment capability to the door slab you are prepping for hardware.
The template is limited to 9" of cut length and this hardware selection is longer than 9". This requires several mounting locations in-order to prep for the face and mortise section(s) of the hardware. Simply mark out start and end lines for face and mortise length requirements and align template as needed. Long mortising bits are also required if using a router for the mortise section.
Each template is designed with a 1/16" offset for the use of a rub collar and or 1/16" offset bearing in a router. This design enables the template to endure more use and gives you more control of your depth and size bit you like to use.
